What we record
When a page of this site is opened, we store one anonymous entry so that we can understand how many people read AUVEMARE and which stories they read. Each entry contains only:
- the date and time of the visit;
- the address of the page that was opened;
- the time zone reported by your browser (for example “Europe/Istanbul”), as a rough indication of region.
The entry does not contain your name, your IP address, your precise location, or anything that identifies you or your device. Entries are used for readership statistics only, are never sold or shared for marketing, and may be deleted by us at any time.
What we do not do
- We do not show advertising.
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking services.
- We do not set tracking cookies.
- We do not ask readers to create an account, and we do not collect email addresses.
- We do not load fonts, scripts or trackers from other companies.
What is kept in your browser
To avoid counting the same page twice during one visit, a small marker is kept in your browser's session storage; it disappears when you close the tab. To let the site send the anonymous entry described above, our hosting provider issues a randomly generated anonymous identifier, which is kept in your browser's local storage. It is not linked to your name or to any account, and we do not store it with the visit entry. You can clear both at any time through your browser settings.
Hosting
AUVEMARE is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). As with any website, the hosting provider processes technical data such as IP addresses in order to deliver pages and keep the service secure.
Links to other sites
Stories link to their original sources, and the site links to Instagram. Those sites are run by other organisations and have their own privacy policies.
