Operating licences for two Red Sea Global marinas advance a connected coastal offering for yacht owners, captains and guests.
Red Sea Global has received operating licences from the Saudi Red Sea Authority for AMAALA Marina and Shura Marina. Announced on 1 October, the approvals mark a further step in establishing Saudi Arabia’s northwestern coast as a yachting destination.
Two Marinas, Different Roles
AMAALA offers 119 berths with an emphasis on visiting yachts and superyachts. Shura adds 159 berths, oriented towards residential and recreational boating. The developer says both facilities can accommodate yachts up to 120 metres, with services including fuel, provisioning and maintenance.
Together, they provide 278 berths across the two destinations.
Connecting the Coastal Experience
The licensing follows the launch of Yachting Network, Red Sea Global’s marina and yacht club operating company. Its purpose is to coordinate marine services across the developer’s coastal portfolio.
AUVEMARE’s view is that a destination’s appeal depends on how confidently a crew can plan a visit. Connected marina management could make that process more coherent. For owners considering the region, the combination of licensed facilities and coordinated services is a development to follow as the offering evolves.
