CMP Group has appointed Michael Szwez chief executive, completing a leadership transition and setting out a plan to make its global marine-products business easier for customers to navigate.
Michael Szwez takes the CEO role at CMP Group after joining the business in 2016 and becoming senior vice president of sales and marketing in 2025. He brings three decades of marine-industry experience.
His appointment follows Pete Samson's period as interim CEO. Samson will continue supporting CMP through Ironbridge Equity Partners.
Connecting a global portfolio
CMP's products span anchoring, corrosion protection, docking equipment and controls, through brands including Rocna, Martyr, DockEdge+ and Octopus. Its stated priority is a more consistent experience across ordering, delivery, installation and support.
Fabien Vignes will concentrate on Asia-Pacific business development. Existing leaders retain their responsibilities in North America and Europe, linking regional customer relationships with the wider group.
