The 66th Genoa International Boat Show closed with 138,273 visitors and more than 4,600 sea trials, offering an encouraging event result within a varied Italian marine market.

Held from 1 to 6 October, the 2026 show recorded an 11.3% increase in attendance. IBI’s public event summary also reports higher visitor numbers and confirmation of the 2027 dates.

More than 1,000 boats were exhibited, with participants from 45 countries. Sea trials increased from 4,050 in 2025 to more than 4,600 this year.

A busy show within an uneven market

BoatIndustry reports 580 meetings during the international B2B programme. Exhibitors reported orders, although no aggregate transaction value was disclosed.

Its market review places the event alongside Italian marine-sector turnover of €8.72 billion in 2025, up 1.4%. Stronger export and high-end activity coexist with more difficult conditions in smaller recreational boating segments. Increased attendance should therefore be treated as an event indicator, rather than proof of a broad sales recovery.

The 67th Genoa International Boat Show is scheduled for 30 September to 5 October 2027.
