Yacht designer Patrick Knowles is extending personalisation beyond interiors, using curated caviar and bespoke presentation to connect onboard hospitality with a yacht’s identity.
Through The Quintessential Yachtsman, Knowles has developed Yacht Life Caviar and Yacht Life Vodka, working with owners on provisions tailored to their vessels.
The approach builds on relationships formed during interior projects. Personal preferences inform the selection, while details from the yacht’s design can shape the packaging.
A dining detail with a design connection
On the 163-foot Westport Maison Blanche, Knowles drew on artwork commissioned for the interior when creating the caviar tin’s visual identity. The connection carries an element of the yacht’s decor into something served to guests.
Yachting also reports that Knowles oversaw a limited-edition vodka blend for the 144-foot Palmer Johnson Alta, available to guests aboard. Together, the projects broaden his design work into the dining experience, without requiring another change to the yacht’s physical spaces.
