The first Pearl 100 Hybrid has completed initial sea trials, bringing Pearl Yachts’ new flagship a step closer to its planned public debut.

Pearl Yachts’ first Pearl 100 Hybrid has completed initial sea trials. The milestone shifts attention from the model’s design promise to how the yacht behaves on the water, while further preparation remains ahead of its planned debut.

A new scale for Pearl

At around 30 metres, the raised-pilothouse Pearl 100 sits at the top of the builder’s range. Pearl presents it as the first hybrid-propulsion model in its fleet, combining a larger-yacht layout with a different approach to onboard power and operation.

Hybrid is a broad term, and the practical experience depends on the operating modes, battery capacity and the way the yacht is used. The completion of initial trials is therefore an important step, but it is not yet a basis for claiming a particular electric range or environmental saving.

The next public test

The first unit is being prepared for a planned appearance at the 2026 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Its debut should offer a closer look at the relationship between the yacht’s accommodation, propulsion system and everyday usability. Until then, the measured story is the progress of a flagship through its first on-water testing.
